Canada uses the
point based immigration system with the help of a comprehensive ranking system
(CRS) tool to help skilled workers move to Canada. The CRS tool is designed to quantify the
appellant's abilities by assessing his age, language, work experience,
education, and adaptability in Canada. The total score is calculated out of
1200 points, and the appellant can move to Canada when he meets the minimum CRS
score required by the IRCC. The
selection score is announced through the fortnightly express entry draws, and
the selected appellant received the ITA (invitation to apply) that needs to be
responded to in 60 days' time with documents.
Those who wish to relocate through the Federal Skilled Workers Program, can achieve the point score by meeting the 67 points mark. The 67 point calculator is used for FSWP appellants, and here the applicants are selected on the point grid of 100.

What is the expected comprehensive ranking system (CRS) score in 2021?
As per the Canada
Immigration level plan 2020 – 2022, The
Canada Government is looking to invited 3,51,000 Immigrants in 2021. It is a
high admission target for Canada. Thus it is expected that in 2021 The Canadian
Government will hold frequent draws, and the low CRs score will be required for
selection. That means the applicants will have more opportunities for Canadian
permanent residents.
Further, although 2020 was a record-breaking year with the large number of applicants invited, especially during the end they are still a lot of backlashes that need to be covered by the government. Industries are facing a hard time after the pandemic crises, and there is a growing need to meet the labor market demand through skilled foreign workers. Hence, a specified draw for certain occupations with a low CRS score is expected this year.
Thus, believe it or not, it is the right time to apply for Canada Immigration. It is unlikely that IRCC will soon return to pre-COVID 19 activities soon, but it doesn't mean that the immigrations have stopped and the opportunities are less. It is time to take advance and proceed with the post-pandemic plan.
