How to get a Canada PR visa while studying?

Post Graduate work permit

One of the most convenient and popular ways to get permanent residency in Canada is by applying for a post-graduate work permit after you have completed a one-year study program in Canada. Through this, you can gain valuable work experience in Canada after completion of your course and improve your score to be later selected in the Canadian experience class (CEC) category of the express entry program. After gaining valuable Canadian education and work experience, you can be easily selected for immigration to Canada as a Permanent resident.

 

Express Entry program

The applicant can also apply for the Express entry program while he/ she is studying in Canada. For this, the applicant will have to meet the eligibility requirements of FSWP, and in your Express Entry profile, you should clearly state that you are staying in Canada. The candidate who meets the point score benchmark for selection they are provided the ITA and they are shortlisted for immigration to Canada. The ITA needs to be submitted to the authorities within 60 days.

 

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Every Province has the right to select appellants for immigration and nominate them as per the labor market demand.  If the applicant has a specific province in mind to which he or she would like to migrate to, then they can apply for the nomination of the Province and meet its eligibility requirements for selection. Some of the Canadian provinces like Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan have a very low language score requirement; thus, getting the nomination for permanent residency through these provinces is highly easy.

 

Atlantic Immigration Pilot program (AIPP)

The Atlantic immigration pilot program is a Pilot program that was launched in 2017 and helped the employers in the Atlantic region of Canada – New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Prince Edward Island to select appellant based on the economic requirements of the region. The Foreign nationals are asked to fill the skilled worker's position that cannot be filled locally by the employers.

 

Quebec experience class (QEC)

This program is designed to help those foreign students who have studied in Quebec and have completed their education a CEGEP, a vocational course, bachelors or master’s degree. The appellants are selected without any work experience through this program, but they are expected to showcase some form of proficiency in the French language.
